Unsur Intrinsik Karya Sastra

Ada dua unsur dalam sebuah karya sastra, yaitu unsur intrinsik dan unsur ekstrinsik.
Unsur intrinsik adalah unsur yang membentuk suatu karya sastra dari dalam. Sedangkan unsur ekstrinsik adalah unsur yang membentuk karya sastra dari luar.
Unsur intrinsik dibagi menjadi,
1. tema: pokok pikiran dalam cerita

2. tokoh: pelaku yang ada dalam cerita

3. penokohan: watak atau sifat pelaku

4. alur/plot: jalannya peristiwa sebuah cerita. Alur ada berbagai macam, diantaranya,
a. alur maju (lurus/progresif): cerita dimulai dari tahap perkenalan sampai penyelesaian
b. alur mundur (sorot balik/flashback): cerita dimulai dari tahap penyelesaian baru kemudian tahap perkenalan atau alur yang melompat-lompat.

5. Setting/ latar:
a. Tempat peristiwa
b. Wakti terjadinya peristiwa
c. Suasana dalam cerita

6. Amanat: pesan yang ingin disampaikan pengarang kepada pembaca lewat cerita

7. Sudut pandang: posisi pengarang dalam cerita.
a. Sudut pandang orang pertama: jika di dalam cerita, pengarang menggunakan kata ganti “aku/saya”
b. Sudut pandang orang ketiga: jika pengarang menggunakan kata ganti “dia/ia/menyebut nama tokoh”.
